ISAIAH THOMAS
Revolutionary War
ISAIAH THOMAS
Revolutionary War
The printer of the radical Patriot newspaper The Massachusetts Spy. He had been a part of American history himself as a young man who had printed the radical newspaper in Boston during it's most tumultuous years. Isaiah Thomas would work so effectively against the British that he was on a "most wanted" list of sorts: The British wanted him dead. Early in the American Revolution, a circular letter advised British officers to put men such as Samuel Adams and John Hancock "to the sword, destroy their houses and plunder their effects."
