  Ira & George Gershwin - teamed up to become two of the greatest song writers of the early twentieth century: "I Got Rhythm" is a piece composed by George with lyrics by Ira and published in 1930, which became a jazz standard.
  Alan Lerner & Frederick Loewe - the pair are known for being behind the creation of critical on stage successes such as: My Fair Lady, Brigadoon, and Camelot along with the musical film Gigi.
  Lorenz Hart - is best-known for his work with composer Richard Rodgers. As one of the most successful songwriting duos of Broadway, they influenced the sound of theater throughout the '20s and '30s.
  Richard Rogers & Oscar Hammerstein - Five of their Broadway shows, Oklahoma!, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I and The Sound of Music, were outstanding successes.
  Meredith Wilson - best known for writing the book, music, and lyrics for the hit Broadway musical The Music Man & as the composer of the holiday standard "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas."
  Frank Loesser - was nominated for five Academy Awards for best song, winning once, for "Baby, It's Cold Outside" and wrote songs while in the army during World War II, of which Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition became the best known.
